You'd like to ask what are the scrolls, wuldn't you, dear children?
You should know the gnomes of Pine-House dedicate themselves to a lot of different jobs but they are really good in writing and drawing. They are true artists.
Rambling through Bosco, going to Stalla, Orto, Mulino, strolling around Città ... many stories come to their knowledge. They themselves have been involved in many adventures.
So they learned to write all these stories and enrich them with drawings.
At night, with the diffused light of the candles (no TV in Pine-house !), they write and draw. Dip their long quills in the gold ink, bend their heads on long rolls of paper (the scrolls!) and write.
Now and then they stop their writing, fix a distant point to collect their thoughts and then dip the quill and begin to write again.
And they write. And they draw.
Finished the story, they blow to dry the ink, roll up their scroll and go up to the the Study to put it on a shelf. The Study is a circular room on the upper floors of Pine-House they look after very carefully.
Fairy Elle has learned to read playing with these long rolls of paper written by her friends, the Gnomes. Following all the forms of those gold letters with her little finger and querying all the time Grolla, Cap and anyone who passed by.
And when finally she was able to read a whole scroll alone ... you could not believe our words ... but she made her first big magic!

Sitting in the garden of Pine-House, Fairy Elle was articulating aloud the words written by the Gnomes, all careful to understand that extraordinary Christmas story, when suddenly a tree next to her came to life, brightening and turning exactly into the draw created by the Gnomes.
All were shocked. The tree was so beautiful ... The same fairy kid could never explain how she had done it but this great magic happens every time she unrolls and reads a scroll.
Not only the trees come alive ... Be patient, dear kids ...

Read what happens whenever Fairy Elle decides to enjoy reading a scroll. Meanwhile, you should know that she is never alone.
The fairy kid comes out from Pine-House holding the scroll and a strange trumpet. Strange not because it is white but because it seems made of lace.
Lace? - you may say.
Oh, yeah! Just lace. But do not be surprised because it is a magic trumpet, children. One time or another we will tell you its extraordinary story. Simply blowing into it with a wisp of breath a melodious sound spreads for Bosco.
It's the signal.
At once all the inhabitants of Bosco stop what they're doing and make their way to Pine-House just alone or in small groups.
Immediately Bosco livens up with twitterings, croakings, laughters, hissings, hummings, speeches, screechings, bells, growls, roarings, chirpings, squeaks, trills. Even the trees, bushes, grasses and flowers seem to enjoy this great party moving and stretching their ears.
Do not be surprised. The inhabitants of Bosco are not only the Gnomes. There are also many animals, big and small, and then the green inhabitants - well, we call them plants;))) - and other non-human you'll be able to meet soon.
The event is extraordinary. Nobody misses it!
Meanwhile, Fairy Elle nestles between the great wings of Fral that becomes a very comfortable armchair. She places on the grass next to her the magic key with which she goes in and out of Pine-House. Then she places her trumpet too.
She looks around and say hello everyone who has come and when she is sure, but really sure, that all have arrived finally she unrolls the scroll.
And suddenly the silence falls on Bosco.
Sssssst! Fairy Elle is going to read ...
